ABOUT RAY HOFFMAN

First of all, I am not a salesperson! That's not to say that I don't throughly enjoy meeting new and diverse personalities everyday, I do. I think of myself as a people person, not a salesman. One of the most important qualities an agent can develop is the ability to listen to what people have to say and to keep their mouth shut unless they have something intelligent to add to the conversation. At 58 years old, I'm still working on the "keeping my mouth shut part". I think I've got the listening part down pretty good at this point. As a new client, customer, or friend, I would hope you will tell me if you don't think I'm hearing what you say. My wife of 38 years still seems to think that my listening skills need some additional tweaking! A little more about myself. I was born, and for the most part of my life, raised here in Whatcom County, Wa. Obtained my license in 1971 while a junior at Western Washington University and went to work part time at Foothills Realty. I took over the management of the company in 1981 and bought the firm in 1993. In May of 2008, I officially retired as owner/broker of Foothills Realty and made a "huge career change". I left the stress of brokerage management and went to work for "myself at Coldwell Banker Miller/Arnason Real Estate. I'm looking forward to spending all of my remaining working time in just focusing on my clients and customer's needs.

I truly do care about my customer/clients and make the best effort that I can to place their interests at the top of my priorities. My business model is not developed around "canned presentation courses that teach an agent to sell something that a buyer really does not want or an astute seller doesn't want to hear." My promise to both buyer and seller is to make your transaction as seemless, smooth and anxiety free as possible, with all parties being treated fairly and honestly through the entire process. Buying or selling a home, investment property or vacant land can be a fun and profitable process for all parties involved. It is my honest desire to complete your transaction in that manner.
